Licensed by the State of Florida to assess mold growth and damage, we perform mold inspections in greater Orlando including Altamonte Springs, Winter Park, College Park, and other surrounding communities. Our technicians have performed hundreds of inspections and always strive to deliver 5-star customer satisfaction.
If you plan to hire a professional mold remediation service, the answer is "yes," and "no." "Yes" if it is for a commercial location. And, "yes," if it is a residence and there are more than 10 square feet of contiguous, visible mold growth. "No," if there are less than 10 square feet of contiguous, visible mold.
If you plan to do the mold remediation yourself, you can do it yourself, no mold specialist and no professional mold assessor are necessary.
Because of our exclusive rights to our patented dry fog system, commercial and government entities often seek us out and engage us before an inspection. For many companies, our dry fog represents their best option for reducing building downtime and overall cost. We could perform the inspection and can make recommendations, but our strength is in performing the demolition, clean up and mold remediation work. Call us regarding the next steps, as we work with many different and reputable, independent, certified mold assessors.
Pure Maintenance can help regardless of whether the answer is "yes" or "no." For a certified mold assessment, the full mold inspection can cost up to $600 and take three days to get the test results back from a third-party lab. If we conduct these mold tests, we can not perform the mold remediation. The same company that conducts the inspection and testing can not also do the mold remediation; per Florida law. There are two exceptions to this law.
The first exception is if there are less than 10 square feet, we can then perform both the inspection and the remediation. This would be a free inspection, saving you $600 and three days of your time.
The second exception is unless one of our clients intends to submit a claim to their insurance company, an officially certified mold inspection may be entirely unnecessary. The client can either clearly see mold is growing, and/or it is making them sick. They then, in essence, performed their own inspection and hire us to go ahead and get the demolition and removal, and mold remediation is done as quickly as possible. We then perform the mold and air quality tests afterward to verify the restoration of the home's air and health.
Last note... if the mold growth has been active for years, then structural damage could very well have occurred. Once remediation is complete, we always recommend an inspection and buy-off from a civil and or structural engineer.
When people ask for inspections, they often think that mold testing is included. This is an understandable misunderstanding, because how do you know if you have mold without testing?
You know, and we know through a simple visual inspection whether you have mold growing in your home or business.
Truth is, visual inspections are typically enough to determine whether you have an unsafe level of mold in your home. This is why a professional and free visual inspection from a mold specialist can save you from spending hundreds of dollars on unnecessary testing.
However, if you want your insurance company to pay for it, and they require the tests to prove you have a dangerous level of mold. Or if you have a doctor who wants to treat you, but needs to know the types of mold you've been exposed to; then you should have testing done. Otherwise, mold testing, and air quality testing is completely unnecessary."
The State of Florida does encourage a mold test for more than 10 contiguous square feet of visible mold in residential settings. But perhaps more importantly, if you have made your decision that you want the mold you see to be removed and remediated professionally, then paying for testing for obvious mold would be a waste of money. This is why many of our customers, skip pre-testing, and choose to go direct to remediation, and get the job done quickly,
Note: Mold testing is always included at the end of remediation to verify that the remediation was effective.
Visual inspections are free. If it is determined during your conversation with the technician that testing would be in your best interest, there is a cost for mold testing.
When commercial mold removal looks likely, companies that want to ensure mold hasn't spread, will need to have multiple mold tests taken. The cost per test is the same as residential. However, volume discounts apply,
Concerned about the cost of mold restoration? When our technician visits your home to perform a visual inspection, make sure you bring up any questions you have about financing and insurance.
Customers choose Pure Maintenance because there isn't a more thorough mold remediation process in Orlando, or anywhere on the planet.
We do everything that a traditional remediation and water damage restoration company offers. In addition, we are the only mold company that offers a patented and green dry fog system that uses a hospital-grade sterilant and an antimicrobial registered with the FDA. Simultaneously more effective, faster, safer, and lower cost. This is how Pure Maintenance has been able to grow nationwide to over a hundred locations and serve more than 20,000 customers in the last three years alone.
We tell people you should always at least get an estimate. The savings can be Tens of Thousands for our commercial customers and thousands of dollars for our residential customers.
The Pure Maintenance approach to mold remediation is at least 10X, most often 100X, and sometimes 1000X more effective than other mold remediation companies' approaches. Our Dry Fog particles are smaller than a mold spore. So wherever a mold spore goes, our dry fog will go; into the threads of carpets and drapes, and into the fabric and grain of furniture and wood. Going where no liquid can.
Sounds too good to be true?
Take for example a 2000 sq ft home that has a combined 20 sq ft of visible and hidden black mold. Traditionally, mold removal would quarantine the immediate area around that 20 sq ft, and maybe another 80 sq ft surrounding it as well. Then treat only that part of the home. This makes sense, right? Yes, it does, and we will do the same if demolition in the immediate area is necessary.
However, where we are different is we will push dry fog to every surface on every piece of furniture, carpet thread, HVAC interior, and other belonging in your entire home. Not just the 2,000 sq ft of floor area, but to every surface. Instead of focusing only on100 sq ft, we treat the volume of the air in your home and literally treat 10,000 sq ft or more of surface area... twice. First with our hospital-grade cold sterilant, then a second time with a preventive antimicrobial, which provides 90 days of ongoing “cleaning” and prevention.
Our claim that we are 100X more effective is a conservative estimate.
Why does going above and beyond in this way matter? Orlando is humid, very humid. Mold spores and their mycotoxins can also travel throughout the interior, very quickly. We eliminate the risk of those spores getting hold in another poorly ventilated part of your home. A total home cleanse also immediately puts your home at a healthier level than it has likely ever been. Even more sanitary than when it was very first built.
Your improved health will thank you. Nothing else in the market can compare!
Upon request, we will share proof of being bonded and insured up to one million dollars. We will also share our Florida State certifications to perform a mold assessment and mold remediation. When looking to get quotes for your home or business mold remediation project, these three items should be considered bare minimum requirements.
An independent, inspection-only company can cost you up to $600 for the inspection and tests alone. When necessary, this expense can't be avoided. But there are plenty of times when it is unnecessary. We will guide you and let you know when it would be in your interest to assume or avoid this potentially unnecessary cost.
Our unique and exclusive patented process can also reduce reconstruction costs and the labor associated with demolition.
Don't want to pay anything at all for your mold removal project?
Well, we provide expert assistance and connections with public adjusters to ensure you recoup as much of the cost of your mold remediation project as possible through your home insurance company.
Time is money.
If you decide to move forward with our mold remediation services, we can achieve equal or better results than you could with another method, and do it in a fraction of the time. The national average is close to a week's worth of inconvenience. Our average total time in your home may span a couple of days, but the combined time in your home is less than one work day.
Our dry fog is completely proven. Your indoor air will match or be better than your outdoor air quality, or we will come back and dry fog again at no cost.
We use a third-party lab to verify your air quality by taking air samples (mold tests) after we have completed your mold remediation project. One air quality test is taken outside your home, and the other is taken inside your home. We can then easily compare the results to show you that your indoor air has been restored to as good or better than outdoor quality.
More importantly, we look to address the air quality throughout your entire home, not just the air quality local to where the mold growth was found.
From start to finish it can take just five days to complete everything... from your first call to your last air quality mold test.
Actual Time at Your Home or Business is Roughly a Total of 8 hours
